Project Description

Our client owns and operates three paper recycling facilities in the Ontario, Canada area.  Precision Energy Services, Inc. is supplying a complete sludge-burning energy system, based around a PES Bubbling Fluid Bed combustor.  The energy system provides 35,000 lb. /hr. of steam to the mill, offsetting previous natural gas consumption and significant tipping fees for sludge disposal resulting in an ROI of 1 ½ to 2 years. The fluidized bed combustion unit is designed to supply 60 MM Btu/hr. output based upon firing of sludge fuel.

Project Features

The processing system includes metering into a single rotary dryer and discharge into a dry fuel bin. The dry fuel is metered into a 16-foot bubbling fluid bed combustor, which fires a boiler producing steam for the plant. Included are a multiclone, air heater, economizer, an ash system, and baghouse.

Project Features

This is a comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction liaison project. It includes startup and commissioning, and system optimization. The scope includes outfeed of the existing waste water treatment plant, incoming wet fuel multiple truck receiving, sludge storage, and metering into the processing system.
